Mintice pod kit IQOS in Nouméa: the best shortlist
Mintice in Nouméa: 8 units tested over 9 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a pod kit for mintice
Mintice prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.23 per 10 ml.
Ordering into Nouméa usually means waiting 6–12 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long mintice tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a mintice pod kit really costs in Nouméa
Mintice in a pod kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested mintice in a pod kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Spare parts availability for pod kit in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
Where mintice goes wrong
- Mixing mintice with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Chasing a discount on a pod kit that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.

Frequently asked questions
Why does mintice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pod kit units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the mintice blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On mintice the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF2.23 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
What nicotine strength should mintice start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pod kit.
