Mint pod kit IQOS in Nouméa: the review shortlist
Mint in Nouméa: 8 units tested over 7 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a pod kit for mint
Mint in a pod kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Mint prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.37 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 8 units, pod kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a mint pod kit really costs in Nouméa
A mint pod kit from the reviewed options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.37 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested mint in a pod kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
Where mint goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF44 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.37 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long mint in Nouméa survives.
