Where buyers go wrong with mint in New Caledonia
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
We run mint the same way in Nouméa: same 30 ml shortfill, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Below is the run we did for this search: 13 units, 30 ml shortfill, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a mint 30 ml shortfill really costs in Nouméa
A mint 30 ml shortfill from the budget options in New Caledonia costs about XPF3.23 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested mint in a 30 ml shortfill
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the 30 ml shortfill that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Batch code and production date, so a mint bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every mint bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Stock depth: 13 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 30 ml shortfill arrives sealed but wrong.
Where mint goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a 30 ml shortfill and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why mint tastes flat after two days.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.

On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF3.23 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF32 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
