Melon refill pack IQOS in Nouméa: the review shortlist
Melon in Nouméa: 12 units tested over 3 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a refill pack for melon
Melon prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.52 per 10 ml.
If you are looking at melon in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the refill pack you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
The short version: melon in Nouméa works if the refill pack, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a melon refill pack really costs in Nouméa
The honest read on melon: 12 units through the same routine over 3 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested melon in a refill pack
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Batch code and production date, so a melon bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the refill pack, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where melon goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why melon tastes flat after two days.
- Chasing a discount on a refill pack that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Buying the cheapest refill pack available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
