Melon prefilled pod IQOS in Nouméa: the order shortlist
Melon in Nouméa: 17 units tested over 2 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Where buyers go wrong with melon in New Caledonia
We run melon the same way in Nouméa: same prefilled pod, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
The short version: melon in Nouméa works if the prefilled pod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a melon prefilled pod really costs in Nouméa
Melon in Nouméa reaches the shelf in prefilled pod formats, and the pre-order ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested melon in a prefilled pod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the prefilled pod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for prefilled pod in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every melon bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
Where melon goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest prefilled pod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised XPF58 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF1.7 per 10 ml.
- Mixing melon with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should melon start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a prefilled pod.
How long does melon in a prefilled pod last?
In Nouméa we measured 2 to 17 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
How much does a prefilled pod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF1.7 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF58 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
