Melon pod kit IQOS in Nouméa: the flat shortlist
Melon in Nouméa: 21 units tested over 3 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a pod kit for melon
A melon pod kit from the flat-rate options in New Caledonia costs about XPF3.05 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
If you are looking at melon in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pod kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long melon tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a melon pod kit really costs in Nouméa
Melon in a pod kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested melon in a pod kit
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a melon bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Spare parts availability for pod kit in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
Where melon goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF31 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.05 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why melon tastes flat after two days.
- Mixing melon with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
