Melon box mod IQOS in Nouméa: the wholesale shortlist
Melon in Nouméa: 6 units tested over 5 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What the label on Melon is allowed to say
If you are looking at melon in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the box mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Melon in a box mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long melon tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a melon box mod really costs in Nouméa
We run melon the same way in Nouméa: same box mod, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested melon in a box mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Batch code and production date, so a melon bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where melon goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long melon in Nouméa survives.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why melon tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
New Caledonia applies French-style rules with a local import permit.
Packaging for melon in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
