Melon 60 ml bottle IQOS in Nouméa: the review shortlist
Melon in Nouméa: 12 units tested over 3 weeks, 60 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a 60 ml bottle for melon
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Melon in a 60 ml bottle is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: melon in Nouméa works if the 60 ml bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a melon 60 ml bottle really costs in Nouméa
Melon prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.43 per 10 ml.
How we tested melon in a 60 ml bottle
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the 60 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every melon bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 60 ml bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a melon bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where melon goes wrong
- Mixing melon with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ignoring the batch date on a 60 ml bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for melon in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should melon start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a 60 ml bottle.
How long does melon in a 60 ml bottle last?
In Nouméa we measured 3 to 12 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
How much does a 60 ml bottle cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.43 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF44 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
