Mango pen device IQOS in Nouméa: the budget shortlist
Mango in Nouméa: 12 units tested over 6 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How to tell a good pen device from a repack
Mango pen device reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 12 units and 6 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long mango tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a mango pen device really costs in Nouméa
Mango in a pen device is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested mango in a pen device
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for pen device in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a mango bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where mango goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest pen device available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised XPF30 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.55 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why mango tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to New Caledonia need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a pen device cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.55 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF30 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On mango the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF2.55 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
Why does mango taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the mango blend itself harsh.
