Lime pod kit IQOS in Nouméa: the compare shortlist
Lime in Nouméa: 13 units tested over 4 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Ordering IQOS to Nouméa: the practical version
Lime in a pod kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Lime prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.28 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long lime tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a lime pod kit really costs in Nouméa
Lime in Nouméa reaches the shelf in pod kit formats, and the compared ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested lime in a pod kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Batch code and production date, so a lime bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Stock depth: 13 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where lime goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest pod kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long lime in Nouméa survives.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
New Caledonia applies French-style rules with a local import permit.
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should lime start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pod kit.
Why does lime taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pod kit units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the lime blend itself harsh.
How long does lime in a pod kit last?
In Nouméa we measured 4 to 13 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
