Lime pen device IQOS in Nouméa: the cheap shortlist
Lime in Nouméa: 19 units tested over 3 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How to tell a good pen device from a repack
Lime sounds like one product. It is not: a pen device running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
If you are looking at lime in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pen device you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
The short version: lime in Nouméa works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a lime pen device really costs in Nouméa
Lime prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.5 per 10 ml.
How we tested lime in a pen device
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every lime bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 19 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where lime goes wrong
- Mixing lime with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Buying the cheapest pen device available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
New Caledonia applies French-style rules with a local import permit.
Packaging for lime in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
