Licorice squonk mod IQOS in Nouméa: the compare shortlist — Iqosnewcaledonia
Licorice in Nouméa: 18 units tested over 6 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What the label on Licorice is allowed to say
The honest read on licorice: 18 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
We run licorice the same way in Nouméa: same squonk mod, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the squonk mod you buy decides how long licorice tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a licorice squonk mod really costs in Nouméa
Licorice prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.98 per 10 ml.
How we tested licorice in a squonk mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Stock depth: 18 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Buying the cheapest squonk mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing licorice with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
New Caledonia applies French-style rules with a local import permit.
Packaging for licorice in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
Is licorice legal to sell in New Caledonia?
New Caledonia applies French-style rules with a local import permit.
How much does a squonk mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.98 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF60 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does licorice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the licorice blend itself harsh.
