Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
The honest read on licorice: 24 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 24 units, box mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a licorice box mod really costs in Nouméa

How we tested licorice in a box mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a licorice bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Treating the advertised XPF51 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF1.64 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.

Frequently asked questions
Can I order IQOS online in New Caledonia?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 6–12 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
Why does licorice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the licorice blend itself harsh.
How much does a box mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF1.64 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF51 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
