Iced starter kit IQOS in Nouméa: the flat shortlist
Iced in Nouméa: 18 units tested over 4 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Delivery, returns and what 6–12 business days really means
Iced sounds like one product. It is not: a starter kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
We run iced the same way in Nouméa: same starter kit, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long iced tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a iced starter kit really costs in Nouméa
Iced prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF1.62 per 10 ml.
How we tested iced in a starter kit
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Spare parts availability for starter kit in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where iced goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why iced tastes flat after two days.
- Mixing iced with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Chasing a discount on a starter kit that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for iced in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
