Guava pen device IQOS in Nouméa: the online shortlist
Guava in Nouméa: 15 units tested over 4 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How to tell a good pen device from a repack
Guava prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF1.93 per 10 ml.
Guava pen device reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 15 units and 4 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Below is the run we did for this search: 15 units, pen device, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a guava pen device really costs in Nouméa
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested guava in a pen device
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
- Stock depth: 15 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where guava goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF29 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF1.93 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Mixing guava with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for guava in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
New Caledonia applies French-style rules with a local import permit.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a pen device cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF1.93 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF29 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does guava taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the guava blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should guava start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pen device.
