Graphite prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.15 per 10 ml.
The short version: graphite in Nouméa works if the cartomizer, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.

How we tested graphite in a cartomizer
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Stock depth: 14 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Spare parts availability for cartomizer in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a cartomizer arrives sealed but wrong.
Where graphite goes wrong
- Mixing graphite with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised XPF57 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.15 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.

Frequently asked questions
Why does graphite taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the cartomizer units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the graphite blend itself harsh.
Is graphite legal to sell in New Caledonia?
New Caledonia applies French-style rules with a local import permit.
What nicotine strength should graphite start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a cartomizer.
