Frozen starter kit IQOS in Nouméa: the budget shortlist
Frozen in Nouméa: 20 units tested over 8 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the frozen habit
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
A frozen starter kit from the budget options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.4 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long frozen tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a frozen starter kit really costs in Nouméa
Frozen sounds like one product. It is not: a starter kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested frozen in a starter kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a frozen bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where frozen goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a starter kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long frozen in Nouméa survives.

Frequently asked questions
How long does frozen in a starter kit last?
In Nouméa we measured 8 to 20 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does frozen taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the frozen blend itself harsh.
How much does a starter kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.4 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF58 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
