The short version: frozen in Nouméa works if the pod kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a frozen pod kit really costs in Nouméa
The honest read on frozen: 21 units through the same routine over 2 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested frozen in a pod kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where frozen goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF56 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.18 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why frozen tastes flat after two days.
- Chasing a discount on a pod kit that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.

On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF3.18 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF56 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
