Dessert cartomizer IQOS in Nouméa: the review shortlist
Dessert in Nouméa: 16 units tested over 4 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What the label on Dessert is allowed to say
Ordering into Nouméa usually means waiting 6–12 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
If you are looking at dessert in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the cartomizer you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
The short version: dessert in Nouméa works if the cartomizer, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a dessert cartomizer really costs in Nouméa
Dessert prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF1.78 per 10 ml.
How we tested dessert in a cartomizer
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a cartomizer arrives sealed but wrong.
- Spare parts availability for cartomizer in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Stock depth: 16 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where dessert goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a cartomizer that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Buying the cheapest cartomizer available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to New Caledonia need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
Why does dessert taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the cartomizer units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the dessert blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should dessert start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a cartomizer.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On dessert the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF1.78 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
