What the label on Citrus is allowed to say
The honest read on citrus: 15 units through the same routine over 4 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
We run citrus the same way in Nouméa: same zero-nicotine bottle, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Below is the run we did for this search: 15 units, zero-nicotine bottle, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a citrus zero-nicotine bottle really costs in Nouméa
Citrus prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF1.78 per 10 ml.
How we tested citrus in a zero-nicotine bottle
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the zero-nicotine bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a zero-nicotine bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long citrus in Nouméa survives.
- Mixing citrus with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.

Frequently asked questions
Why does citrus taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the zero-nicotine bottle units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the citrus blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On citrus the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF1.78 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
How long does citrus in a zero-nicotine bottle last?
In Nouméa we measured 4 to 15 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
