Cherry starter kit IQOS in Nouméa: the budget shortlist
Cherry in Nouméa: 7 units tested over 5 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Ordering IQOS to Nouméa: the practical version
We run cherry the same way in Nouméa: same starter kit, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Cherry starter kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 7 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long cherry tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a cherry starter kit really costs in Nouméa
Cherry in Nouméa reaches the shelf in starter kit formats, and the budget ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested cherry in a starter kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a cherry bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 7 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where cherry goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a starter kit that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Treating the advertised XPF49 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.98 per 10 ml.
- Buying the cheapest starter kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
New Caledonia applies French-style rules with a local import permit.
Packaging for cherry in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a starter kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.98 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF49 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does cherry taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the cherry blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should cherry start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a starter kit.
