Caramel squonk mod IQOS in Nouméa: the price shortlist
Caramel in Nouméa: 7 units tested over 5 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How to tell a good squonk mod from a repack
Caramel sounds like one product. It is not: a squonk mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
We run caramel the same way in Nouméa: same squonk mod, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: caramel in Nouméa works if the squonk mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a caramel squonk mod really costs in Nouméa
We run caramel the same way in Nouméa: same squonk mod, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested caramel in a squonk mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Batch code and production date, so a caramel bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
Where caramel goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF43 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.17 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a squonk mod that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Ignoring the batch date on a squonk mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
