Blackcurrant RDA IQOS in Nouméa: the order shortlist
Blackcurrant in Nouméa: 20 units tested over 6 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a RDA for blackcurrant
Blackcurrant RDA reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 20 units and 6 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Blackcurrant in a RDA is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: blackcurrant in Nouméa works if the RDA, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a blackcurrant RDA really costs in Nouméa
Blackcurrant prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.57 per 10 ml.
How we tested blackcurrant in a RDA
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every blackcurrant bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Spare parts availability for RDA in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Stock depth: 20 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Batch code and production date, so a blackcurrant bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where blackcurrant goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Ignoring the batch date on a RDA and discovering the listed price was for old stock.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a RDA cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.57 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF53 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does blackcurrant taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the RDA units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the blackcurrant blend itself harsh.
