Blackcurrant mesh tank IQOS in Nouméa: the order shortlist — Iqosnewcaledonia
Blackcurrant in Nouméa: 22 units tested over 7 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the blackcurrant habit
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Blackcurrant prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.53 per 10 ml.
The short version: blackcurrant in Nouméa works if the mesh tank, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a blackcurrant mesh tank really costs in Nouméa
The honest read on blackcurrant: 22 units through the same routine over 7 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested blackcurrant in a mesh tank
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Spare parts availability for mesh tank in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
Where blackcurrant goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Buying the cheapest mesh tank available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a mesh tank cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF3.53 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF50 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does blackcurrant taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the blackcurrant blend itself harsh.
How long does blackcurrant in a mesh tank last?
In Nouméa we measured 7 to 22 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
