Apple cartomizer IQOS in Nouméa: the review shortlist
Apple in Nouméa: 12 units tested over 5 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Delivery, returns and what 6–12 business days really means
Apple in a cartomizer is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
We run apple the same way in Nouméa: same cartomizer, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: apple in Nouméa works if the cartomizer, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a apple cartomizer really costs in Nouméa
We run apple the same way in Nouméa: same cartomizer, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested apple in a cartomizer
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Spare parts availability for cartomizer in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Stock depth: 12 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Coil type inside the cartomizer, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
Where apple goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why apple tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised XPF55 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.21 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
Why does apple taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the cartomizer units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the apple blend itself harsh.
How much does a cartomizer cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF3.21 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF55 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
